Glencoe Boat Club Newsletter 2
04/06/2019
Good evening Members
First of all, I would like to thank all the members that voted on the Commodore / vice commodore positions, myself and Angus are now in those positions along with our other jobs of membership secretary and Moorings officer.
We did not have very nice weather for Push the Boat out on both days but it still was a huge success in generating income for your club, a massive thank you to all the people involved with the running of those two days.
The Regatta is happening this month on the 14th and 15th.
Friday is the passage race from Oban to Ballachulish, most folk take there boats to Oban the day before, then on Saturday there are races held at the club for all the yachts, there is food on sale on the Friday evening and all day Saturday, also there is a prize winners dinner in the evening held at Craft and things.
Alcohol will be available on both days and a very good raffle.
The event usually generates a good income, which helps us maintain your club.
All help on both days is much appreciated, but if you cannot help, turning up and supporting your club would be great, all donations of sandwiches and cakes are welcome.
Please let me know what you would like to help with.
If you would like to take part in any of the regatta you can find all the documents on the website www.glencoeboatclub.co.uk
We are going to be getting a new website that will be much easier to keep up to date this year hopefully.
There is now available to buy, Tee shirts- hoodies- beanie’s and caps, all with the Glencoe boat club logo on.
Robert Watt and I are hopefully going to Soay just off the coast of Skye on the 24th of June for a week if anyone is interested?
Hope to see most of you at the Regatta.
Colin Haste (Commodore)
