Local Volunteer Belle Jessop of Artisan Cafe in Tyndrum has begun a Researcher in Residence post with us to help document Glencoe Boat Club history. As a globally iconic location, this is of immense value to many far and wide as well as our own members and we are grateful!
Belle would find it really helpful to hold short interviews with members; long standing members as well as new members, and discuss club history; the history of sailing and rowing in Scotland; and local viewpoints about why a Boat Club is important to our community.

Members of Glencoe Boat Club enjoyed being part of the start of the final leg of the 2024 Round The World Clipper Race, from a blustery hillside near Dunstaffnage maria by Oban this month!. Corrag our Skiff set out on the water, joined with crews from Lorn, Appin and Isle of Seil Coastal Rowing Clubs for a grand day out on the water. What an experience!
Musters are back! While your new GBC Sailing Officers have plans for diverse musters and the phased reintroduction of a keelboat racing programme over 2025–6, we felt it important to be able to offer something this season and have settled on a day muster to Ardgour.
