Club Sailing Calendar 2025 is now live for Glencoe Boat Club

It has been a challenge, as it has been for many club to reinstate activity post lockdown period, but we have done it thanks to Peters commitment, enthusiasm and determination. With support from the RYA Scotland, and from volunteer committee member for members events, Pam. Team work is making the dream work, and we invite all sailors to update your calendar!
Please note that motor boats and other vessels are also welcome to engage in sailing events, although only sailing yachts can compete in the Round Balnagowan Race.
You can find all sailing activity dates for 2025 on the Club website calendar.
You you can put any questions or suggestions about sailing activity to Vice Commodore Peter Duggan at anytime.

Glencoe Regatta also set to return 2026!
We are also delighted to share that the much love Glencoe Regatta is set to return in 2026, when we hope and expect to see the traditional ‘three in a row’ progression from Oban through Glencoe to Lochaber restored.
Preparations are underway
We’re currently auditing the condition and readiness of all Club sailing dinghies as well as looking at tuition possibilities, although this would be arranged to suit availability of instructors and appropriate Club volunteers and wouldn’t necessarily be on Wednesdays. If you are interested in learning to sail, please contact the Vice Commodore to be added to the information list about this at .
Sailors, please also consider joining our informal ‘GBC Sail & Power’ WhatsApp group for both Club updates and quick communication among boat owners and crews; you can do this through Peter or fellow Sailing Officer Fraser Houston, at . If you do not use WhatsApp, please let Peter and Fraser know on the sailing@ email address, this will not exclude you at all!
We hope to see many of you on the water soon.
