More RYA support to help us grow

The RYA are supporting us from afar, for our On The Water open weekend in July to support us.

Now there is more RYA support to help us grow.

RYA are  inviting clubs, Sailability providers, class associations, charities and club-based training centres to join them again this autumn for a series of free conferences and development workshops.

Online booking will be launched in September. The Scotland ‘Connected Event’ will run 2-3 November.

You can read the full announcement here on the RYA site.

If anyone can attend from Glencoe Boat Club, please let know.

Glencoe Boat Club is a member of RYA SCotland

The Royal Yachting Association Scotland (RYA Scotland) has two distinct roles;

  1. a membership organisation charged with looking after the interests of individuals, clubs, training centres and affiliates of the RYA in Scotland.
  2. the recognised governing body for sailing in all it’s forms in Scotland.

The first of these roles is directly supported by the membership of the RYA and the second is supported by sportscotland, the national agency for sport and the National Lottery.

Their work is diverse. Between the staff and volunteers of RYA Scotland they plan, run and deliver programmes of activity that cover narrow boating, powerboating and motorcruising, dinghy, keelboat and yacht sailing, volunteer, coach and club development, elite athlete development and racing, environmental awareness, advice to government, local authorities and coastal developers and a multitude of other activities to protect the rights and promote the interests of the boating community in Scotland.
