Dear club member
There has not been a news letter from the club for a while so I would like to try and keep you informed on what your committee is up to.
The new inflatable dingy store for 20 tenders is now open for the new season, please put your name on your tender so as we can identify.
The skiff project is up and running progress is being made, if you would like to become involved with the build please let me know.
You now have electric hand dryers in both ladies and gents’toilets.
There is a winch in place to assist the launching and retrieval of trailer boats on the slipway, contact Angus MacInnes or Kevin Boyle if you wish to use it.
A lot of work has gone into making your club look tidier and a lot more to be done.
We are trying to get the website updated so please be patient.
There is going to be a couple of days on the 18th and 19th of May where we invite the club members and general public along to try out water related activities for example dingy sailing, power boating with a instructor that can help with skills, canoeing, etc.there will be food and drink available and a few stalls all donations welcome for a tombola and boat jumble.
If you would like to help please let me know, the RYA event is called push the boat out.
The regatta this year is on the 14th and 15th of June, Friday is the passage race from Oban to home if the wind allows, and Saturday the local races. If you would like to take part or need any information, please contact Jill Mills.
There is a list of things that any member can do to help your club attached to the fridge door in the clubhouse, please cross off when done.
There is to be a work party on the 11th of May for anything left on the list to be finished.
Please clean your clubhouse whenever you feel it needs it.
