Sailing

Sailing at Glencoe Boat Club

We have fully equipped Community Sailing at Glencoe Boat Club, run under RYA guidelines. We are affiliated to the RYA Scotland and have been specially selected by them for developmental assistance in our future activities.

This comprises a fleet of sailing dinghies, toppers for young novices, a wayfarer for adult training capable of taking four plus a helmsman instructor, and several more sophisticated dinghies for advanced and race training.

We also have an outboard rescue boat which will always be manned and on the water during sessions and events. Full safety equipment for juniors is also held.

It goes without saying that instruction and experience in larger craft, both power and sail, can be provided as required.

Instructors

We can arrange instructors to look after the sessions, but we are always on the lookout for suitably experienced, qualified and enthusiastic people to join this to support this on a more regular basis. We aim to help others discover the joy and wellbeing of being on the water, if you could help provide instructure level support please contact

Musters

Regular sailing musters are popular at Glencoe Boat Club. A casualty of the COVID 19 Pandemic, a development plan is now underway to re-establish a thriving regular sailing muster community. If you would like to get involved please contact .
