Glencoe Boat Club facilities

Glencoe Boat Club facilities are superb! Developed for members and visitors who enjoy sailing, boating, rowing, paddling, diving and fishing in Loch Leven. We are nestled amidst the historic mountains of Glencoe. Our club was founded in 1972, and ever since, members have been hard at work developing a modern, quality facility. We provide great value to local and visiting members alike. Glencoe Boat Club has come a long way since its origins of a small shed!

The Club House

Glencoe Boat Club facilities include a warm and dry clubhouse, which can be made extra cosy by firing up the log burner. Our fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. This enables members to gather for social events, as well as work on boat maintenance and prepare for adventures in comfort. Our visitors enjoy using our facilities while they restock and enjoy the local area. Our clubhouse also has toilets, showers and changing facilities. We have no opening time restrictions. All members and paying visitors are provided an access code to make use of facilities when it suits them. We simply ask that you are considerate of our local residential neighbours.
Shoreside

Glencoe Boat Club facilities also includes an excellent slipway for launching boats of up to 25 feet and 4ft draught (depending upon the state of the tide). We have a floating pontoon, enabling boats of up to 6 feet draught to come alongside at all states of tide for provisions, water or personnel transfer. Please note that we do not allow overnight berthing at the pontoon except in cases of emergency.
We also have a large dinghy park and secure stowage for tenders, subject to status.
Health & Safety

Please ensure all members and visitors wear life jackets or buoyancy aids when on the pontoon. Thank you.
The winch

Please contact for training on using the club winch.
The winch can be used by all members at any time. Please ensure the winch cupboard is kept locked when not in use, with keys returned to the clubhouse. Thank you.
Glencoe Boat Club Facilities for Visitors

We welcome visitors throughout the year who want to explore the local area of Glencoe. Full membership entitles you to the use of all the above, however, we are aware that individuals may want to use some of the facilities without necessarily becoming a year round member. If that’s you, you are invited to submit your request to the committee who will decide on approvals for visitor use subject to capacity.
We provide several dedicated Visitor Moorings – marked with a V, please use these initially. If these are fully occupied, it may be possible to use a members mooring temporarily. We ask that you contact a member of the Committee to arrange this.
In both cases, a donation to our Club would be expected.
