Motor Boating from Glencoe couldn’t be better! At Glencoe Boat Club launching on our slipway can be done regardless of the tide, we have a remote electric winch to assist with launch or recovery.
Once you are launched, you can explore Loch Leven as far east as Kinlochleven taking care at the narrows at Caolasnacon, enjoy wildlife spotting with Seals and Dolphins in this great Sea Loch.
The Islands on Loch Leven are of great interest with Eilean Munde (the Burial Isle) being the largest and quite spectacular.
Heading out under the unfinished Ballachulish Bridge (can you spot the missing rivet?) into Loch Linnhe you have access to Fort William and the Caledonian Canal to the North, South West to the beautiful Isle of Mull and Tobermory or South past the Isle of Lismore to Oban and beyond.
In Loch Leven you can further develop your Motor Boating skills by contacting our local RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor and Club member Ryan at iPowerboat.
iPowerboat have been an approved RYA training centre for nearly 10yrs… what makes them unique is their passion, teaching approach, equipment and of course our magnificent location.
For more information on learning how to handle motor boats, or to further your training, follow this link and contact iPowerboat.
