About The Club

Glencoe Boat Club started out in 1972 with little more than an old shed! For the past 40 years, members have been hard at work creating a facility which boasts many features!

We now have a warm and dry clubhouse, with toilet, shower and changing facilities for both sexes; in addition we have an excellent slipway capable of launching boats of up to 25 feet and 4ft draught (depending upon the state of the tide) and a floating jetty enabling boats of up to 6 feet draught to come alongside at all states of tide for provisions, water or personnel transfer. Please note that we do not allow overnight berthing on the jetty except in cases of emergency.

We also have a large dinghy park and secure stowage for tenders, subject to status. Full membership entitles the use of all the above, however the Committee are aware that individuals may wish to use some of the facilities without necessarily becoming a member; in such cases you are requested to contact a member of the committee beforehand who will approve such use and request a donation to the Club to cover costs of maintaining our facility.

The club has several dedicated Visitor Moorings – marked with a V, please use these initially. If they are fully occupied, it may be possible to use a members mooring temporarily, however we ask that you contact a member of the Committee to ascertain if this is acceptable.

In both cases, a donation to the Club would be expected!
